The Aercus Instruments WeatherRanger is the new breed of weather station that combines sleek full colour TFT LCD technology with direct internet publishing, allowing data to be viewed from anywhere on any internet capable device (console connects directly to your WiFi capable modem so your PC or Mac does not need to remain on).
The menu based full colour multi-screen display includes high and low alarm conditions with audible alert, calibration of all major parameters, real-time internet weather publishing to Wunderground.com the world's largest and most popular weather station network, and encrypted WiFi transmission.
The WeatherRanger’s all-in-one external sensor suite tracks the full range of weather variables including UV Index and Light and its rapid 16 second update along with massive built in data logger (66m readings) places it at the head of the queue for all serious weather watchers.
The WeatherRanger is simple to install and is PC and Mac compatible. Data can be exported to an SD card (in CSV format) for transfer to PC or Mac for detailed analysis in Excel or specialist weather station applications such as Cumulus or Weather Display.

Very nice
I looked at many different stations in the end I just had to choose one. The Weather Ranger was the one. Played with it for a week to learn the different functions then installed it on the roof. The only difficulty I had was when it was time to register with Weather Underground. I could not find my station in the list of stations. With help from Monax Contact I was directed to select "Ambient Weather WS-1002", there was no 1002 so I selected 1001 and everything worked wonderfully well. I now enjoy checking out my home weather at work, also history is good. Thanks for a very good unit. Kind Regards Russ.j1

Does what it says on the box - perfectly
I looked at cheap weather stations (~$Aud 100) and expensive ones (~$Aus 1000), but in the end I picked this as a mid-range one price-wise. And it works perfectly. Setup was easy - yes, I did read the manual! The outdoor sensor array is now attached to a fence about 40m from the house, and the base station is mounted on the inside of the outer wall of the house in the kitchen. Perfect communication. Overall, I'm very happy with this, despite only having had it for just over a week.

Great Weather Station and Price!
Have been using this for a short while now. Setup was straight forward and started operating straight away, no hiccups. A wealth of information from the station. Only issue is not related specifically to the station but the Mac software which does not work. I understand a fix is in progress.

WeatherRanger Professional weather station
Bought as a gift in a rural area with no local weather metrics within ~100km. After some research settled on this model after reading other reviews on this website and taking into account what it needed to facilitate. So glad I avoided other weather station types that didn't come with onshore support although it hasn't been necessary thus far. Easy to setup - only adjusted wind direction by 180° to cater for the southern hemisphere as directed and all went well. Would have no hesitation in recommending this product to anyone else.

Good mid-range unit
Having just set up my WeatherRanger Professional weather station I am delighted with the result. Set up of the outside Sensor Array was easy and the wireless connection to the Display Console quick. Internet connection to Wunderground was also quick and easy. If you are looking for an affordable Home Weather Station with good re-seller support then this is the one

SIMPLE TO SET UP
Recently purchased Weatherranger Professional and it is easy to set up and working well. LCD display is easy to read and shows info at a glance without any need for computer connection and progam.
