  1. Impressive Product 5 Star Review

Everything works right out of the box and the technical side is well presented. A minor glitch with the setup is that the Southern Hemisphere could better be selected as a menu option, not a fudged calibration.

  2. Excellent product 5 Star Review

Very impressed, and very easy to set up. As an amateur in the technical world, the ease of setting it up is second to none.

This is my third weather station and by far the best.

Can't fault it. Worked straight out of the box and I love the Easter eggs hidden in the weather alerts

  5. WEATHER STATION 5 Star Review

Extremely impressed. Was delivered just prior to the biggest storm the East Coast has had for 10 years. Set-up and installation was simplicity itself and watched (and recorded) the whole catastrophe! And it's still there.
    Hours of fun.

Very easy to setup and install. Very good documentation and helpful guide provided by Monax. Looking forward to fully exploring all the options over the coming months as I experience the full range of weather conditions here in the Victorian High Country.

  7. Highly recommended 5 Star Review

I purchased the Davis Vantage VUE to replace my Oregon Scientific WMR88 (which I'd had nothing but trouble with since I bought it - never again!). It's been running flawlessly for the past 2 weeks since installation.

The Davis Vantage VUE worked out of the box - easiest device to install and configure - no problems with loss of connection to the sensors (which the WMR88 suffered with very frequently).

It's a shame we have to buy the WeatherLink software just to get a piece of critical hardware to connect to the station. I use Cumulus and it is far superior to WeatherLink in every respect.

In summary - Davis Vantage VUE is highly recommended, WeatherLink is thumbs down (apart from the hardware).

Delighted with the Davis Vantage Vue. I have tried the cheaper weather stations and they don't compare. Worth the extra $.

  10. Davis Vantage VUE Review 5 Star Review

I purchased the Davis Vantage VUE to replace my Oregon Scientific WMR200.
One of the reasons I went for the Davis was the compactness of the unit. Everything is in one compact unit making it a breeze to install. On the WMR 200 everything is separate so you have so much stuff hanging off the one pole. I must admit that the base station for the WMR200 is a little classier than the Davis with a touch screen and a more pleasing backlight but the Davis Vantage VUE control console has more features for keeping track of the weather over the past 24 hours and, I believe, up to a month but don’t quote me on that as I have only had my stations up for 9 days and I am happy with the readings so far. You can find out things such as when you had the maximum wind gust, same with last rainfall and so on. One thing I can recommend is the rain gauge and the 2mm steps it records in, 100% better than the WMR200 which has a rain gauge separate from the main unit and more rain has to fall before it registers. On the Davis you have things like sunset & sunrise, wind chill, and other normal stuff you get on most other weather stations but cannot record UV so if that is something you require you may have to go to the Vantage PRO where there is an option sensor. The instruction manual is well written and easy to understand. While the Davis is more expensive than other home weather stations, I would have no hesitation in recommending it.
